How to pick up chicks:

• Wash your hands first
• Sit down next to the chick
• Gently put your hand under the chick, making sure that its legs are sticking out between your fingers.
• Use your other hand to cover the wings of the chick, so that it doesn't try to fly away.
• Scoop up the chick!
• Resist kissing the chick (you can get salmonella)
• Remember to wash your hands after handling chicks. Also remember to always be gentle, as chicks are fragile.
